The Senseo HD7832/55 Supreme offers a variety of improvements over the original Senseo, the HD7810/65.
Interestingly, these improvements trace a parallel path to those made in the more recent Keurig K-Cup brewers.
It seems that everyone with a one cup coffee maker wants the same things:
- A bigger water reservoir, so you can make more cups of coffee without having to refill it.
- And great flexibility over the size of the servings you brew.
The new Senseo has a 33% larger water tank, at 32 ounces. It’s still not as big as some of the tanks on other single serve machines, but it’s a definite improvement.
Also, the Supreme offers many more brew sizes - at 3 ounces, 4 ounces, 5 ounces, 6 ounces, 8 ounces and 10-ounces.
It also has an adjustable spout, so you can raise it or lower it according to the size of the cup or mug you are using.
To enable you to select the brew size, the Senseo Supreme has a new LCD screen at the top of the brewer.
Beyond these improvements, the Senseo has all the benefits of earlier models, including the capacity to use one or two coffee pods at a time, according to the size of the serving you want to brew.
And you still get the original, patented frothing chamber, just beneath the pod holder, which gives you a light crema, or frothy layer on the top of each cup of coffee you make.
The pod size remains the same, at 62 mm, so you have literally hundreds of different choices when it comes to coffee blends and flavors.
The basic design of this new model is fundamentally the same, but the improvements are welcome and match what one cup coffee lovers are looking for.
