The My Invento, known as the Café Invento in Europe, is now available in the US and Canada.
As you can see from the photo on the right, this coffee pod brewer has a totally different look. Its sleek, brushed steel body will appeal to many people who are fed up with low-design, lumpy coffee makers.
Here are some of the key features of the My Invento:
* Get your finished cup of coffee in about 30 seconds.
* Brew one cup or two cups at a time. (It has a dual-pour spout.)
* Match your personal preference with three brew settings – light, medium of dark. (Great for when not everyone in the family likes the same strength of coffee.)
* Can also be used to make tea.
* Auto shut-off after two hours, just in case you run out the door for work and leave the brewer on.
* A synthetic finish on the steel that makes it super-easy to keep clean.
Best of all, the My Invento uses coffee pods. That in itself is a relief. When new single serve brewers are launched, too many of them have their own, proprietary packaging for each coffee serving.
With the My Invento, you can use their own brand of coffee pods (recommended) or coffee pods from other companies.
Why are their coffee pods recommended or preferred? Because they contain 12 grams of coffee each, which is more than other pods.
But if you really want to use Senseo pods, for example, you can simply insert two of them at a time into the My Invento machine.
A pump inside the brewer pressurizes the water as it passes through the coffee pods. (That’s the unfamiliar noise you’ll hear.)
Use of the pump delivers a richer coffee taste and also creates a slight creama on the top of your coffee.
All in all, this is a welcome addition to the existing line-up of coffee pod brewers and should turn out to be a winner.
