If you have a kitchen that demands good looks, you’ll want to check out the Breville BKC600XL Gourmet K-Cup Brewer.
In terms of functionality it doesn’t offer a great deal more than the Keurig B70. What you’re paying for with the Breville is its shiny good looks. And this really is a very nice looking brewer.
Most coffee makers are not that attractive. And for the sake of cost-cutting, it seems that just about every coffee maker is now made primarily with plastic. Even the previous Keurig models, although they certainly had a new, fresh look, still have that plastic look and feel.
The Breville has beautiful clean lines and the unmistakable class of stainless steel.
As with the other Keurig brewers, you simply use individual K-Cups to make one cup of coffee at a time. or use the My K-Kup reusable filter. The breville includes a spcial storage space for the My K-Cup.
For some, the extra cost will be worth it. The bottom line here is that you’re paying about $100 more for a K-Cup brewer that looks classy. If it’s just the functionality you want, you’ll do almost as well with the Keurig B70.
That said, you do get a few extras for your money, beyond the good looks:
* Reuseable My K-Cup Storage
* Stainless Steel Design
* Charcoal Water Filter in Resevoir
* Redesigned LCD Panel and Control - larger and easier to read
* Fits travel mugs easily
* Less noise when brewing compared to other Keurig models
